Mercifully not every trance track has to be an instantaneous four to the floor, colour by numbers, ripping bosh fest! A point proved rather nicely by this stunning white label from somewhere inside of Scandinavia. The subtleties of ‘Jungle Breeze’ make it a devil to describe, but you know we’ll give a go! The feel is pitched just perfectly between the driving and melodic. Enough thrust to make it fire up a floor without breaking sweat and a troika of fine melodies brought in to play the emotion card hard! The first lead in riff drives ‘Jungle Breeze’ nicely towards its break before being replaced by a long, drawn, delightfully anthemic string arrangement.
The break itself allows little in the way of breathing space though. The pads take hold and are speedily replaced by the main pattern. With its cool 80’s twist, it gives a fantastically spontaneous retro edged feel to the pay off. Produced by fledgling Jani Kervinen, this may not be a record that grabs you immediately. My god it’ll get you in the end though!
